Easter Opening at Micahs

That lovely time of Easter is almost upon us and, given all the “world weirdness” going on at the moment, it’s a good time to forget those things, relax and feel gratitude for friends and relatives. Our caring team needs to do that too which means some time and day alterations for our opening over the Easter period. Will you be visiting us on our opening days?

April in Morpeth!

It’s April the first and, no fooling, it’s going to be a lovely weather week in Morpeth! Micahs Courtyard loves sunshine, as does our visitors especially those to our Micahs Courtyard Paws Club. On our Paws Club (Dogs) page from today, you’ll see a “slider” of a small selection of our many, many four-legged visitors.

Naturally they don’t arrive by themselves but usually bring along their two-legged friends!Micahs Tearooms Dog Friendly Courtyard

We’re proud that many return from afar (all over the UK) as they visit Northumberland and it’s fun to see them meet-up (adults as well!) with our local customers and their pets.

The only time Micahs Dog Friendly Courtyard is closed during our opening times is if we have inclement weather. But hey, that’s not forecast at the moment. Carpe Diem is what we say!

Northumbrian Gathering in Morpeth Details Released

The details of the annual and very colourful Northumbrian Gathering have been released. The 3-day event, organised by Morpeth Antiquarian Society,  will be held the weekend after Easter, the 25th to 27th April.

There's a very informative poster in the window at Micahs Tearooms. The poster has a QR code you can scan for further details.

Or you can visit www.northumbriana.org.uk.

As usual Micahs will be open on the Friday and Saturday of the event. Do get in touch with us soon if you want to reserve a table on either day. We have a limited number of time slots still available.

Northumbrian Gathering Saturday ParadeSaturday gets very busy with the lively and popular parade as well as the fabulous Morpeth Clock Tower Bell Ringers showing off their skills with their Clock Tower Peals.

Enjoy the peals from our pavement tables and chairs or outside in Micahs Courtyard.

New Summertime Menu available

It’s the start of Spring in Morpeth this week so naturally we launch our Summer Menu on Wednesday 19th March! Hey, everyone says the seasons merge into each other these days so why not?

Our new menu has one addition that many of our lady customers have asked for and that is an All-day Light Breakfast. There’s still our renowned Micahs All Day Heart Breakfast, but the “light” option is, as it says, lighter!

At customers’ requesst our new, firm favourites of Quiche Parfait and Northumbrian Corned Beef Pie remain centre-stage as does our acclaimed Lentil Soup!

Raspberry & Lemon Cheesecake at Micahs Tearooms MorpethOn the menu for the first time is our top-selling Raspberry and Lemon Cheesecake. It’s extremely flavoursome, handmade in Northumberland and has quickly out-sold our other cake favourites of Coffee & Walnut, Carrot Cake, Lemon Drizzle and Marimba Chocolate!

There’s also our growing selection of Gluten Free and Vegan cakes.

You can read or download our new menu by visiting the Micahs Menu Page

Is it Spring yet? Time for us to awaken to websites!

Our new Micahs.co.uk website will launch close to Spring 2025. For years, award-winning cafe Micahs has relied on Facebook to tell our loyal and wonderful customers what’s happening. Now, it’s time we ventured further into the Wonderful World of Websites (isn’t that what www means?!).

So here we are putting our ever-so delicate foot into the website water. Why are we eventually doing this? It’s because simply not everyone is a fan or user of Facebook. And we are lucky to have such a wide variety of customers who want information, details and news from us.

We’ve got customers from all over the world who visit the scenic Northumberland, we’ve got customers of all age groups (especially families visiting with sometimes 3 or 4 generations in their party) and we’ve got customers who have a requirement for alternative diets. And that’s not to mention history discoverers who visit our quaint and quirky building, or the team from the famous Morpeth Clock Tower Bell Ringers, or the birthday, anniversary or reunion parties. You can see why Micahs buzzes!

This Micahs.co.uk website aims to be your encounter with our welcoming cafe. We try very hard to give you great service, great food (mostly Northumberland-sourced) and a special, clean and charismatic place you will want to return to again and again.

At the top of the page, you’ll see the various pages you can click on from menu to gallery to contacting us.

Can we soon welcome you to Micahs Tearooms?
